Relative Road Trip
Well, we are in the Great White North this week only it’s all mosquitos this time of year instead of snow. My father-in-law is having some health problems so we thought it would be a good time to visit. It’s a good thing and a bad thing. Good that we are visiting family, but my anxiety is way up. I’m trying to stay busy with my website, my knitting, and watching my favorite show, but nothing is really helping. Don’t get me wrong, I love my relatives but the added stress of being out of my element is not helping my anxiety.
The snacks up here are amazing. They have Big Turks, which are basically chocolate covered Swedish fish in chocolate bar form. There’s Popcorn twists, which are long twisted popcorn without any kernels, and so many more treats it’s hard to know where to go from here.
We’re going to go to Waterton Park next week where the views of the lake are incredible. The drive is beautiful as well. We usually stop at the ice cream shop for Tiger ice cream which is orange flavor mixed with black licorice. It is delicious!
Naturally we will be playing lots of games during our visit. We brought Karma, Farkle dice and a deck of cards, which we usually play Gin Rummy with.
